Mustard Shoes for Men in Pakistan: What to Wear Them With and How to Choose (2026)

By Musharib Akhter · Updated October 2026

Mustard is the easiest way to make a plain outfit look planned. It is warm, it works with the neutrals most of us already own, and a clean mustard leather slip-on can carry a white shalwar kameez, a pair of dark jeans or a smart office look. The trouble is that nobody tells you which colours to avoid, or which shade of mustard to buy.

This guide covers what to wear with mustard shoes in Pakistan, whether they pass in the office, how to choose between tan, mustard and brown, and how to keep light leather looking new. It also lists the six mustard pairs we currently sell, with prices.

What colour goes with mustard shoes?

Mustard shoes go best with white, cream, navy, charcoal and black clothes, and with dark blue jeans or beige chinos. Keep the shoe as the one warm accent in the outfit. Avoid bright yellow, orange or a full head-to-toe brown, which either clash with the shoe or make it disappear.

Use this chart as a starting point. It is general styling guidance, not a rule, and it applies to any muted mustard or tan leather shoe.

Outfit Why it works Tip
White or cream shalwar kameez Warm tan against a light fabric looks clean and summery Match your belt or watch strap to the shoe tone
Navy or charcoal shalwar kameez Cool dark fabric makes the mustard stand out Choose the darker mustard-brown shade
Black shalwar kameez The shoe becomes the single accent Keep the rest plain, no bright waistcoat
Dark blue jeans The most reliable casual pairing Roll the hem once so the shoe shows
Beige or off-white chinos Tonal, soft and easy Add a darker shirt so the outfit does not wash out
Olive or earth-tone trousers Earthy colours sit well with warm leather Skip mustard clothes as well, one mustard item is enough

Are mustard shoes okay for the office?

Yes, for smart-casual and most Pakistani offices, if the shade is a muted tan or mustard-brown rather than bright yellow, and the shoe is a clean leather slip-on. For strict formal dress codes, court, or senior client meetings, black or dark brown is the safer choice.

A slim slip-on with a smooth leather upper and a plain sole looks smarter than a chunky or heavily perforated shoe. If you are still deciding between colours for work, read our office shoes guide for men in Pakistan, which covers black and brown formal shoes, sizing and soles.

Mustard, tan or brown: how to choose your shade

Shops use these words loosely, so judge by the photos. On our product pages the shades fall into two groups:

  • Lighter tan-mustard. Our E-series casual slip-ons (E-35, E-16, E-71) are shown in a tan-brown mustard. Lighter shades look best in summer and with white, cream and jeans.
  • Deeper mustard-brown. The M-609 and M-667 are a darker, richer mustard brown. They are easier to wear with navy, charcoal and black, and they look closer to formal.

If you own mostly dark clothes, start with the deeper shade. If you wear a lot of white and cream, the lighter shade will look fresher.

How to look after mustard and tan leather

Light leather shows marks sooner than black, so a little routine goes a long way:

  1. Wipe after wearing. A dry soft cloth removes dust before it settles into the grain.
  2. Spot-clean gently. Use a barely damp cloth for marks. Do not rub hard or soak the leather.
  3. Dry in the shade. Heat and direct sun can dry and darken leather. Stuff wet shoes with newspaper and leave them away from heaters.
  4. Rotate pairs. Leather needs a day to dry out. Our shoe soles guide explains why rotation also protects the sole.
  5. Keep them for dry days. Light leather and monsoon puddles do not mix, so keep an older pair for heavy rain.

Sizing and ordering

Slip-on shoes have no laces to adjust, so the size matters. Measure your foot against our size chart before you order, and if the shoe does not suit you on arrival, see the exchange policy. Frequently asked questions

What colour pants go with mustard shoes?

Dark blue jeans are the most reliable match. Beige or off-white chinos give a softer, tonal look, and charcoal, navy or black trousers make the mustard shoe the one warm accent in the outfit. Avoid bright yellow or orange clothes, which clash with the shoe.

What shalwar kameez colour goes with mustard shoes?

White, cream, off-white, navy, charcoal and black all work. Light colours give a clean summer look, while dark colours make the mustard shoes stand out. Plain fabrics suit mustard better than loud prints.

Are mustard shoes formal enough for the office?

For smart-casual and most Pakistani offices, yes, provided the shade is a muted tan or mustard-brown and the shoe is a clean leather slip-on. For strict formal dress codes, court or senior client meetings, black or dark brown is the safer choice.

Is mustard the same colour as tan or brown?

Not exactly. Mustard shoes sit between tan and brown with a warm yellow undertone. Tan is lighter and closer to sand, brown is darker and cooler. Shop listings often use "mustard" for a tan-brown shade, so check the product photos before you order.

How do I clean mustard or tan leather shoes?

Wipe off dust with a dry soft cloth, then use a barely damp cloth for marks. Let the shoes dry in the shade, never in direct sun or near a heater. Light leather shows water spots and scuffs more than black, so keep it away from standing water.

What is the price of mustard shoes in Pakistan?

On SOLES.PK, mustard leather slip-on shoes currently start at Rs.4,999 (E-35) and go up to Rs.7,999 (M-609 and M-667). Prices were correct at the time of writing, delivery is free across Pakistan and cash on delivery is available.
